The community of Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI) who owns and runs Bishop Clemens School of Excellence, Bamhori, originated in Kerala. The Founders of the congregaÂtion especially Blessed Chavara worked for the integral development of persons through education. His innovative method of starting a school attached with the religious places has made the state of kerala, in the country, notching the top in human development index of UNDP. Today the CMI Fathers have a net work of more than 400 educational institutions across the country, renowned for their integral growth and excellence.
Following the footsteps of Blessed Chavara, Bishop Clemens, the first Bishop of Sagar Diocese, initiated the integral development programs in Bahmori especially the development of the rural people. Bishop Clemens always cherished education as the best means for developing young minds to shoulder the responsibilities of the nation tomorrow. In memory of his great and noble vision of education, the present school is named as Bishop Clemens School of Excellence.
